Originally from Toronto, Canada, Rick is a director, choreographer, and producer who has worked across the US, in China, and in Russia. As co-founder of production company Kuperman Brothers, he helped bring a new form of immersive entertainment to Beijing, and has worked in the musical theater, stadium concert, and TV formats.
Highlights include Alice by Heart (Lortel Award and Chita Rivera Award for Outstanding Choreography, Drama Desk Nomination), A24 and Chernin Entertainment’s F*cking Identical Twins, Netflix’s Living with Yourself, Cyrano at the New Group, and Phish at Madison Square Garden.
Rick is a cum laude graduate of Harvard, where he studied moral psychology, film theory, directing & choreography, and negotiation & decision-making.
He’s currently working a new immersive show with the producers of Sleep No More and a new stage musical adaptation of The Outsiders.
